Here in Georgia, school starts NOW. Yes, at the beginning of August. Due to budget cutbacks they've cut our school year to 175 days, yet they've somehow figured out a way to begin school on August 5th. I have no idea how the school board managed this, but I guess that's where higher education gets you. You learn to magically make a shortened school year still stretch out for 9 months despite the fact that it seems impossible to do so.
Anyway, my much-too-short summer has now come to an end. Since I work for the school system, I'm having to get back into the swing of things, and it's been a rough week of waking up at 5:30 after 6 weeks of sleeping in, and I'm a little cranky. Of course, there's always the bright side...I just got to sleep in for 6 weeks, right?
That being said, the vacation is over, and the girls and I have been running around like chickens with our heads cut off all week buying clothes and school supplies and I've been working 10-hour days getting ready for my year to start, so I haven't had much time for reviewing new items. Therefore, I'm going to be taking a few days off to get my ducks in a row. I'll be back next week when I have something useful to say. See you then!!
