By now you all probably know that I am a fan of Shiseido's skincare products. I've been reviewing items from a Gift With Purchase I recently received, including Shiseido The Skincare Hydro-Nourishing Skin Softener and The Skincare Purifying Mask, both of which I've loved. However, as you all know, a skincare routine isn't complete without a good night cream, and that's where Night Moisture Recharge Enriched comes in.
Shiseido The Skincare Night Moisture Recharge Enriched
Night Moisture Recharge is a line of nighttime moisturizers containing Yuzu Seed Extract to help balance the skin by helping it produce hyaluronic acid. This makes it different from most moisturizers that simply contain HA and therefore allow it to be applied topically. The theory is that by helping the skin to produce its own hyaluronic acid (which is naturally found in skin and which can hold 1000 times its weight in water), Night Moisture Recharge actually helps the skin repair and balance itself rather than just providing a temporary solution to dryness. Moisture Recharge comes in three formulas: Light, Regular and Enriched.
I was lucky to have received the Enriched version, as I have dry to very dry skin and need all the help I can get. When I first opened the jar, I was a little skeptical. The cream is not heavy at all. In fact, although it is sold in a jar, it's really the consistency of a thick lotion. I had doubts that something so, well, unsubstantial, would give my skin adequate hydration.
On application, Moisture Recharge Enriched sinks immediately into the skin. Although it left no trace behind, it still left my skin feeling cushioned, softened, and most importantly hydrated. When I woke up the next morning I had no greasy residue on my face, yet my skin was still plump, glowing and moisturized, and it felt like silk.
This is definitely going to go into my permanent rotation of nighttime moisturizers (I rotate products constantly). I was very impressed with the performance and results I got from Moisture Recharge Night. For those of you with dry skin, I definitely recommend it. For those of you with oily or normal skin, I suggest you give it a try as well, since the Light and Regular versions are formulated specifically for you.
If you try them, let me know what you think!!
