As you all should know by now, I'm all about the COLOR in lipsticks. Please don't give me something that can be described as "nude", "neutral" or "understated". If it doesn't stand out, I'm just not interested. And frankly, I don't even tone it down much when I do dramatic eyes...I probably end up looking like a Robert Palmer girl, but at least my lips look good!
Rouge Dior in Star Fuchsia is definitely a stand-out color. It's a true, slightly blue-based, mid-tone fuchsia that looks wonderful paired with fair skin, but would certainly work on someone with darker skin or a (fake) tan. I love the way the color really pops, setting off the mouth beautifully. Here are a couple more shots of the actual color:
Taken outside in indirect light.
Swatched on skin in indirect sunlight.
Star Fuchsia is definitely a color that makes me happy. It's just impossible to apply its delicious brightness without smiling! It's a color I will turn to on those days when I'm feeling ugly, or fat, or just blah. Star Fuchsia never fails to brighten up both my face and my mood!
Here's a lip shot. Seriously, how could this color NOT brighten your day?
Bottom Line: Rouge Dior lipstick is a wonderful, creamy formula that lasts for hours and fades to a lovely stain. It feels moisturizing on the lips and has a slight creamy sheen. Star Fuchsia is a perfect, bright pink. It may not be for the faint of heart, but it's definitely a winner!

That's lovely! I must agree with your sentiments in regards to lipstick. My feelings exactly although I don't go "quite" as bold as you as often. ;-)
