Over the last year or so, I've become a fan of NYX. They make high-quality makeup at an extremely affordable price, have plenty of products and color choices, and they have a TON of great palettes, from trios to the 10-Color palettes. While shopping at Ulta recently, I came across a lovely little palette called The Runway Collection, and I had to try it.
The Runway Collection consists of varying shades that cover the spectrum from deep gray to frosty white, with browns and purples in between. It's a wonderful palette for brown eyes, and would also work well with green eyes.
Here are a couple of shots:
This shot was taken in indirect sunlight, where it appears much bluer than the true palette.
Taken in direct sunlight, this is a much better representation of the colors. As you can see, the top row consists of browns, beiges and a taupe. The bottom row is a purple spectrum, from a warm, fairly dark lilac to lavender and on up the scale to a shimmery white.
A couple of swatches:

Outside in more direct light. Again, the less light, the bluer the tones.
I'm very pleased with these shadows. They can be mixed and matched in a variety of ways to create both understated and bold eyes, and the color range appeals to every mood.
There is one thing I found odd about this palette, and that was the packaging. On the side of the box, there's a chart that supposedly shows the range of colors in the palette. I'm VERY glad I looked at the actual shadows before purchasing, because this is NYX's rendition of what is in the palette:
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the bottom left color look green? And the color next to it olive? Because that's what I see when I look at it. I think the chart is extremely misleading.
Bottom Line: The Runway Collection is a great all-purpose palette with a lovely array of colors and textures. It's capable of being the one palette you own, based on the number of color combinations that are available with all of those shadows. Suitable for natural and bold looks, it's extremely versatile. In addition, the colors apply smoothly and stay on all day over a primer. Once again, NYX has come through with a winner!
