If you shop at Sephora, you know about the Beauty Insider program. With the Beauty Insider card, your purchases are logged throughout the year and you get 1 point per dollar purchased. As points accrue, you qualify for benefits. With 100 points, you qualify for a deluxe sample, and if you save up until you have 500 points, you get a set of some sort, varying monthly. This month's gift was a goodie...a "Little Look Goods" set from Benefit, one of my favorite lines. It includes Bad Gal Lash mascara, Dandelion Blush, and "That Gal" tinted moisturizer. It's a great way to try the products without investing a ton of money.
Dandelion blush is a lovely, cool pink blush that imparts a rosy flush to my pale cheeks. It's a light color, so I don't know if it would be suitable for you darker-skinned ladies, but for those of us who are on the fair side of the spectrum, it's lovely.
Dandelion has just a hint of shimmer...not enough to really show up on the skin, but enough to add a bit of depth to the color. The blush lasts for hours and applies evenly.
Bad Gal Lash Mascara is a great, dramatic mascara that lengthens and volumizes with ease. It has a large brush and doesn't clump. Some of you might not love the size of the brush, but I personally prefer the larger brushes and fiber bristles, so I'm sold.
Finally, there's That Gal Tinted Moisturizer. I found That Gal to be a very basic formula. Nothing about it stood out to me as spectacular, although there was nothing wrong with it, either. It's just a typical TM, in my opinion, with sheer coverage for a soft glow.
I'm glad I held out for this one, since I'm loving the blush and mascara and I feel they were both well worth the wait. I don't know if this is the set that will be at your Sephora, but if it is, it's definitely worth a shot!
