Last time I was at Ulta, I came across the Korres display and decided to take a good, long look. I really don't need any skin care right now, as I've hauled myself some serious Kiehl's lately (both for face and body), but my lips need some help. It's getting cooler and drier outside, and they're starting to show it. So when I caught sight of Korre's Plum Lip Butter, it seemed a perfect match!
Korres Plum Lip Butter is full of buttery goodness, most notably shea butter. It also contains rice wax, which helps give the butter some "body" and firmness and seals in moisture. It's a lovely formula, thick without being waxy, soft and smooth and lasting on the lips without being sticky or gooey. The color is also gorgeous...a deep, cool plum.
On the lips, the color shines through as a sheer, but not too sheer, plummy flush. Just enough to give the lips some color, yet not enough to appear "made up" at all. It's perfect for days when you're wearing no makeup, or when you're wearing no-makeup makeup.
On my extremely pale lips, it brings out a natural, healthy flush. I love the way it looks and feels.
Bottom Line: This is a fantastic tinted lip butter. It's thick enough to feel really decadent and moisturizing on the lips, yet it's not sticky at all. It lasts for several hours and doesn't bleed into fine lines around the mouth. A definite winner!
