Cargo Metallico Eye Liner

I'm a fan of Cargo products, from their Oil-Free foundation to their eye shadow quads, and everything in between. So even though I don't normally go too much for sparkle, I couldn't resist giving the Metallico Eye Liner collection a shot, and I've been pretty pleased.

The colors in the set include a deep, royal blue, a deep amythyst, a midtone turquoise, and forest green. All of the liners are glittery...not shimmery, but glittery, with large silver sparkles throughout.

Here's a swatch shot to show the glitter level:

As you can see, there's some serious glitter. On the eyes, it isn't as apparent, but you will run the risk of having that occasional telltale "starry eyed" look when you wear these.

I find the pigmentation to be good in the blue and amethyst, less so in the turquoise and green. Wear time is adequate, although I did have some migrating toward the end of the day. The colors are vibrant and fun, and are suitable for an evening at the club (or everyday, I suppose, depending on your age and preference).

Bottom Line: As much as I love Cargo, I just can't get past the amount of glitter in these pencils. They're marketed as metallics, which I find to be untrue. To me, a metallic is a smooth, reflective finish that catches the light and showcases the color of the liner or shadow. These are simply bright liners with a lot of silver sparkle to liven them up even more. For me, that's just not good enough. This is my first fail with Cargo, and hopefully it will be my last.

I'm a huge Cargo fan as well, I also love glitter but since two out of the four colours in this kit are not that pigmented I won't buy it. Thank you so much for saving me from a bad purchase with your review! :)

@goddessinspired...Glad I could help! :) Yes, the lack of pigmentation in the two is disappointing. It required at least two passes with each to even approach opaque.
