Beautiful Body Care: L'Occitane Cocoa Flower Ultra Rich Body Cream

I've recently become enamored with the L'Occitane line of body care products. First there was the amazing Dry Skin Hand Cream. Now, it's the Cocoa Flower Ultra Rich Body Cream, a lovely, dense cream meant for the driest of skins (ie, mine). It's soft, soothing, and moisturizing, and leaves skin silky and hydrated for hours.

L'Occitane was started in 1976 by Olivier Baussan, whose ambition was to create a company based on Mediterranean well-being. The scents are from nature, as are many of the ingredients. The idea was to mix the traditions and ingredients from the Mediterranean region to create a line of fine body care products. And fine they are.

The Cocoa Flower Ultra Rich Body Cream is one such product. Filled with a whopping 25% Shea Butter, the cream is incredibly rich and moisturizing. Scented with a light flower fragrance with just a hint of cocoa, it's truly a joy to use.

Here's a shot of the actual cream:

As you can see, it's very rich and thick. I personally love this type of cream, and use it right out of the shower to help seal in moisture. It lasts and lasts, leaving the skin silky and moisturized for hours. Although there is a slight fragrance, I don't find it to be strong enough to interfere with my perfume of the day. However, if you do  you can always use it at night.

Bottom Line: An excellent cream for drier skin types. This one may be too heavy for those of you with oily skin or who don't like the feel of a cream on your skin. However, if you're at all dry, it's a perfect solution, especially for those dry winter months.
